The gesture forms part of the bank’s commitment to help in improving the learning environment in the educational sector.
The Managing Director of Access Bank Ghana, Mr Dolapo Ogundimu, who presented the bus to Professor William Otoo Ellis, the Vice Chancellor of KNUST, explained that the provision of the bus was expected to help curb the incidence of crime that had recently threatened lecturers, students and staff on campus.
Mr Ogundimu reiterated the bank’s commitment to education, citing the bank’s support for the sector with investments to help bridge the deficit in infrastructure, learning materials and support systems that enable students to thrive and excel.
The managing director further noted that many corporate organisations, including Access Bank, benefited from graduates from the universities, hence the bank’s continued support for the sector.
For his part, the vice chancellor commended Access Bank for its kindness and expressed the university’s commitment to regularly maintain the bus.
