Teacher Trainees Threatens Boycott If…

The Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana (TTAG) the umbrella bodies of all students in Colleges of Education across the country have threatened to boycott school if government fails to reinstate their allowances.

Speaking in an interview on PEACE FM's morning show ‘Kokrokoo’, Daniel Osei Kofi, National President of TTAG said parents are finding it difficult to afford paying fees of their wards in the various colleges. Apart from that, some of the students due to the high fees, have to take some time off school hours to sell various items to pay their fees; a situation which he describes as unfortunate.

“School will reopen on 18th of May, 2015 and if we don’t hear anything from government or the Ministry of Education, we will all not go to school. We have had enough of the way they are treating us,” he said.
